Winemaking Notes:
The longest-living of our Tempranillo wines wear the ‘Black Hinge’ label with pride. Hand-picked; destemmed into an open fermenter; hand plunged and the fermenter emptied by hand into the press; gently squeezed; run to barrel; rested on lees throughout maturation. A wine made with gentle, uncomplicated winemaking. Aged in French barrel for 14 months.
Vineyard Report:
Entirely produced from vines grown at Pindarie. For the Black Hinge, we hand-picked selected short rows from the Black Hinge block where the soil is very stony.
