Portia Valley Wines is a South Australian wine producer based in the world-renowned wine-growing region of the Riverland. Our brand is built on four generations of winemaking.
Our long heritage in the Australian wine industry and a strong tradition of over-delivering on the quality of our wine means we make, source, and supply only the best wine that the most prestigious wine regions in Australia have to offer.

Pindarie is a family-owned property, with Tony Brooks at the helm after taking over from his grandfather in 1990. Together with Wendy, the transformation of Pindarie began.

Wendy was born in New Zealand into a large family on the South Island. She came to South Australia in 1985 to study Viticulture at Roseworthy Agricultural College. After graduating, Wendy worked for the next 12 years with the Penfolds Wine Group, starting as a Grower Liaison officer and working her way up to Senior Viticulturist. During her working career, she travelled overseas to California, Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, and Chile, to conduct study tours and assess vineyards for wine projects.

Cuvage, known for Metodo Classico wine, is also the sparkling house for Acquesi, a territory range that pays tribute to its host, the city of Acqui Terme.

A territory line born to honor the city of Acqui Terme and its particular terroir, cultivate native grapes like Cortese and Moscato.

The result is sparkling wines such as the dry DOCG Asti, Cortese's Piedmont DOC Marengo, and Rosato Piedmont DOC made from autochthonous red grape varieties such as Dolcetto and Barbera, lively and fruity with a persistent perlage, aromatic sparkling wines Moscato d'Asti DOCG Casarito and Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG Valle delle Rose with balanced and delicate aromas, fresh on the palate, and sparkling wines Asti DOCG and Piedmont DOC Brachetto.

We were founded, as a cooperative, in 1963, producing wine from grapes grown by our members throughout Romagna.
In the 1960s and ’70s, we began trading our wine exclusively in bulk. In the ’80s and ’90s, a step forward was selling in standard and larger bottles. Since 2000, in line with feedback from the market, we have started to produce and package wines in cartons and bottles for the HORECA channel.
Today we are a Group that operates principally in Emilia Romagna and our wineries in Veneto, Tuscany, and Umbria. Our wines are present in 67 countries worldwide, especially in France, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, the USA, and South-East Asia, with a consolidated turnover of 147 million Euros.
Ours is a great story that our members and we are still writing together.
